Tour of Mull

08 - 12 October 2008

Flying the Flag (or should that be waving an antenna?)
Rhyl & District Motor Clubs' "Famous five" on the Tour of Mull 2008

.......... just prooving it really WAS on Mull!

Iain's new camera wasn't really up the job.....
Linda still hadn't worked out how to operate her friends camera by the end of the week....
.. and Arthur was having just a couple of problems trying to buy some strange, unheard of thing called "film" for HIS dinosaur
Hence we say "Thank You" to Sandra for the above!.......

MULL - I think that must be Gaelic for "TOTALLY rally mad island" - in five days on the island, we didn't find a single resident who was "anti" the rally, in spite of the fact that the event closes off public roads for up to 5 hours at a time, two or three times over 48 hours! Mind you, it's been going on every year for the last 39 years so I guess it's now bred into TWO generations of islanders that the event generates a massive income for the island in the last few days before winter sets in.......... Thank you to the Islanders for being so welcoming - Thank you to 2300 Club for doing so much for the Island AND for motor sport. This event is a MASSIVE organisational task and always (seems) to run so smoothly.
