A few memoirs of a bygone era.......

One of the founder members of Rhyl Motor Club, Mr Derek Brookes of Dereks Service Station, for many years a well known local Volkswagen Dealership, which once stood were B&Q / Sainsburys now are, recently came into contact with one of our current members, Richard Bradshaw.

Rich has managed to borrow some of the motorsporting memorabilia in the form of cups and trophies which Derek won in the period around 1952-3 and still proudly holds on to, some 50 years after their aquisition. I have photographed some of the trophies and they are now displayed below!

Sadly, Derek passed away on May 6th 2007
