The Rhyl & District Motor Club Annual Fun Day 2005

What an EXCELLENT day was had by one and all.... the sun shone, albeit briefly, the rain didn't come anywere near (it didn't DARE!)...... and the crowds flocked to the annual Rhyl Motor Club Funday on Sunday last at the Salusbury Arms in Tremerchion. I'd like to hazard a guess that in excess of 500 people turned up, Perhaps I'm a little out with the figures (never could count!) but it was most certainly a brilliant, fun filled day for everyone.

Star attraction of the day HAD to be the Mobility Challenge Gymkahna, with most of the lads (and a few of the ladies too) having a go. Hey, amazing just what those buggies can (and can't) do! ...... Other attractions included Plastic Surgery by Llywela, Mountain Climbing AND Self Electrocution courses by Keith. The Raffle, tombola and an EXCELLENT fun, walking treasure hunt (or was it a crash course in orienteering?) were all "sorted" by Linda. A bouncy castle style "it's a knockout".......... and of course, the old Bouncy Castle itself!

The evening entertainment was curtosy of an excellent disco and plenty of liquid and solid refreshments...... With thanks to both the DJ and Gill

The kids (both young AND old) all had a ball and I'm sure that everyone is looking forward to the NEXT one!

MANY thanks to Baz & Claire and Keith & Lynda for getting such a brilliant day together for everyones enjoyment ...Ask ANYONE who attended what a good day (and night) it was!... ........... If you missed this one, be SURE not to miss the NEXT one.......... Tickets may well go on sale SOON but numbers will be strictly limited, due to the demands of this this year......so be sure to get your names on the advance ticket list asap to ensure you get in to the next Rhyl Motor Club Funday & BBQ. (Please note though that unfortunately, due to huge demand this year, the "free beer all night for club members, provided you take our free taxi service home" MIGHT not be on offer next year.......)
