This event will now take place
on BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY, August 25th 2008, 10.00hrs.

All "competitors" on the event should park up at map ref: SH 963050 24150 - Rhiwargor Car Park. From where the event will now START. This is a much larger Car Park (and theres a portaloo there too !! ) - Should this car park fill to capacity before the start, then cars may still be parked at SH.96500.24150 (The originally planned start, 50 yards around the corner)
(I'll put up a couple of arrows around the lake to direct you to the start location)

Please take note that ORANGE are the ONLY mobile phones that work around the lake. So, if you've got one, or a spare ORANGE payg sim card for your phone please bring it along with you.

We could do with a few Marshals for the event too - so if you'd like to get 10 points in the Club championship - Please come along!

Total Milage = 11.2 miles. No time limit on how long to get around the Lake, You'll be given a "Start Time" and a "Finish Time" simply as a check to ensure that eveyone who leaves the start gets back to the finish!
The nice folks at the dam end of the Lake have suggested that we may like to call in & see them in the shop and/or the cafe, perhaps for a drink or to feed the birds (RSPB shop) - if you do decide to rest a while, please try to limit your stop to 15 minutes. Don't forget that we'll all be having butties at the finish!
Don't forget to keep your eyes open on the way around, you may well see Peregrine Falcons, especially near the start/finish. Nature ABOUNDS around the whole area, there will be lots to see but PLEASE, if you do spot something of interest to you - STOP - don't be a danger to yourself of other road users by weaving about on the roadway trying to see it!!!!!
